Ukrainian (Українська)

Ukrainian (Українська)

About

Ukrainian has this softer, more melodic vibe than Russian. If Russian sounds like sharp edges, Ukrainian feels rounder, warmer. It’s written in Cyrillic too, but the letters look a little different, and pronunciation is smoother.

Kyiv Ukrainian is considered “standard,” but head west to Lviv and you’ll hear Polish influences sneaking in. Eastern Ukraine? Mixes of Russian and Ukrainian everywhere. It’s a gradient, not a wall.

Slang is lively. Youth in Kyiv throw in English like it’s seasoning:
"Вечірка топ, брат!"
(“Party’s top, bro!”)

Ukrainian songs are perfect for learners. Folk music teaches older, poetic words, while modern rap and rock bands drop slang you’ll actually hear on the streets. Start with artists like Monatik or The Hardkiss — subtitles on, brain off.

Oh, and locals are direct. If your pronunciation is bad, someone will correct you immediately. Not to be rude, just because they want you to sound less like a confused tourist.

About Enuncia Global

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. Sometimes it feels like we’re everywhere—legal docs one day, video game dialogues the next, and then suddenly some corporate brochure that has to sound “professional but not robotic.”

I think what makes Enuncia Global different (and I don’t want to sound like a cliché company profile here, but still) is that it’s not only about throwing words from one language to another. We actually care about tone, style, culture… because honestly, what’s the point of translating if you lose the feel of it? Like, imagine a joke translated literally—it just dies, right? We try to keep that soul alive.

We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.

At the end of the day, it’s about trust. Clients give us sensitive stuff—sometimes personal, sometimes business secrets—and we deliver, quietly, without fuss. Maybe that’s why people stick with us. Anyway, that’s Enuncia Global in short.
