Swiss German is like German on a bouncy train. The consonants cluster, vowels are quirky, and dialects change every 20 kilometers. I greeted someone in Zurich with “Hoi, wie goht’s?” and immediately got a response so fast I had to blink twice, nod, and then they laughed because I looked confused. They launched into a story about a lost bicycle, a runaway dog, and their neighbor’s attempt at baking rye bread.
Urban Swiss German is clipped, chaotic, sometimes unintelligible to other German speakers. Rural dialects stretch vowels, drag syllables, and add older words. Mispronounce? Exaggeration, gestures, mimicry, teasing — all part of learning. Conversations spiral: greeting → gossip → family → market → joke → song lyric → exaggeration → proverb → festival story → teasing → random tangent.
Grammar exists but is bent in casual conversation. Pronouns vanish, endings disappear, and verbs sometimes twist unpredictably. Swiss German is messy, playful, chaotic, and human. You learn by immersion: fumble, laugh, mimic, repeat, get corrected indirectly through storytelling and tangents. By the end, you don’t just know the words — you feel the rhythm, the humor, the quirks of the people and culture.

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. Sometimes it feels like we’re everywhere—legal docs one day, video game dialogues the next, and then suddenly some corporate brochure that has to sound “professional but not robotic.”
I think what makes Enuncia Global different (and I don’t want to sound like a cliché company profile here, but still) is that it’s not only about throwing words from one language to another. We actually care about tone, style, culture… because honestly, what’s the point of translating if you lose the feel of it? Like, imagine a joke translated literally—it just dies, right? We try to keep that soul alive.
We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.
