Romanian (Română)

Romanian (Română)

About

Romanian surprises people. You expect it to sound Slavic, then suddenly it hits you with Latin vibes. It’s related to Italian, Spanish, and French, but with a layer of Slavic seasoning sprinkled on top.

The “ă” and “â” sounds take practice, but overall, pronunciation is smoother than you’d think. And Romanians speak fast — like, really fast. Bucharest accents are sharp and energetic, while Transylvanian Romanian has this softer, slower, almost musical tone.

Slang is where things get spicy. Romanians mix English constantly, especially younger crowds:
"Frate, e super chill aici"
(“Bro, it’s super chill here.”)
Totally normal in cafés and clubs, but don’t try it with your grandma.

Romanian TV shows and stand-up comedy are gold for learning the real language. Watch Las Fierbinți — you’ll hear modern slang, rural expressions, and enough sarcasm to survive in Bucharest.

Oh, and one thing: don’t call țuică (plum brandy) “just alcohol.” It’s practically national pride. Refuse a shot, and someone’s aunt will glare at you like you insulted the entire country.

About Enuncia Global

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. Sometimes it feels like we’re everywhere—legal docs one day, video game dialogues the next, and then suddenly some corporate brochure that has to sound “professional but not robotic.”

I think what makes Enuncia Global different (and I don’t want to sound like a cliché company profile here, but still) is that it’s not only about throwing words from one language to another. We actually care about tone, style, culture… because honestly, what’s the point of translating if you lose the feel of it? Like, imagine a joke translated literally—it just dies, right? We try to keep that soul alive.

We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.

At the end of the day, it’s about trust. Clients give us sensitive stuff—sometimes personal, sometimes business secrets—and we deliver, quietly, without fuss. Maybe that’s why people stick with us. Anyway, that’s Enuncia Global in short.
