Mexican Spanish is pure personality — playful, sarcastic, musical. Forget what you learned in high school Spanish; half of it will get you laughed out of a taco stand.

In Mexico City, people talk fast, add “wey” to everything, and invent slang like it’s a national sport. “Qué pedo?” literally means “what fart?” but actually means “what’s up?” “No manches” = “no way,” “chido” = cool, and “órale” is this magical Swiss Army knife of expressions: wow, okay, let’s go, seriously, really? It depends on tone, eyebrow movement, and possibly tequila levels.

Food vocabulary is survival-level urgent. You need to know “taco al pastor,” “sin cebolla,” and “salsa no muy picosa” unless you enjoy crying in public. But beware: “not spicy” to a Mexican abuela is still napalm to everyone else.

Mexicans love teasing, joking, and storytelling. Ask for directions, and you’ll get three options, two personal anecdotes, and probably an invitation to someone’s cousin’s birthday.

If you want to sound local, lean into expressions. Don’t just say “goodbye” — say “nos vemos,” “cuídate,” or the classic “ahorita,” which can mean “right now,” “in five minutes,” or “maybe never,” depending on the vibe.

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. We try to keep that soul alive.

We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.
