Arabic
About
Arabic is one of the oldest and most influential languages in the world, with deep cultural and historical roots. Over 300 million people speak it across the Middle East and North Africa, but here’s the thing — there isn’t just one Arabic. There’s Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which you’ll find in books, news, and formal speeches, but in everyday life, people speak their own local dialects: Egyptian, Levantine, Gulf, Maghrebi, and more. Sometimes, two Arabic speakers from different regions even switch to English because their dialects are so different! One of the biggest challenges for learners is the script. Arabic is written right-to-left, and the letters change shape depending on where they appear in a word. But once you get used to the alphabet, reading becomes smooth. Another tricky part is pronunciation — Arabic has sounds like “ع” (‘ayn) and “خ” (kh) that don’t exist in English, so they take practice. Grammar can feel different too. Verbs usually come before the subject (“wrote Ahmed the book” instead of “Ahmed wrote the book”), and nouns have gender, which affects adjectives and verb forms. But here’s a little relief: there are no capital letters and no confusing silent letters like in English. Arabic also has a rich vocabulary, especially for expressing emotions and spirituality. A single idea can have several beautiful, poetic words. For example, there are many ways to say “love,” depending on depth and feeling. Beyond language, Arabic connects you to centuries of history, literature, science, and art. From classical poetry to modern pop music, learning Arabic gives you access to a huge cultural universe. If you start learning, focus on one dialect plus Modern Standard Arabic. That way, you can enjoy movies, chat with locals, and understand news broadcasts too. It’s challenging, but the rewards are worth it.
About Enuncia Global
Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. Sometimes it feels like we’re everywhere—legal docs one day, video game dialogues the next, and then suddenly some corporate brochure that has to sound “professional but not robotic.”
I think what makes Enuncia Global different (and I don’t want to sound like a cliché company profile here, but still) is that it’s not only about throwing words from one language to another. We actually care about tone, style, culture… because honestly, what’s the point of translating if you lose the feel of it? Like, imagine a joke translated literally—it just dies, right? We try to keep that soul alive.
We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.
At the end of the day, it’s about trust. Clients give us sensitive stuff—sometimes personal, sometimes business secrets—and we deliver, quietly, without fuss. Maybe that’s why people stick with us. Anyway, that’s Enuncia Global in short.
