Apatani is one of those languages you feel before you understand. It’s soft, melodic, like Ziro Valley itself. My first Apatani encounter was in a bamboo hut where an old woman tried to teach me greetings while force-feeding me pii-kao (fermented rice).

Common phrases:

“Ya pa?” → “How are you?”

“Apatani bu.” → “I’m Apatani.”

“Abo!” → “Eat!” (you’ll hear this a lot).

Conversations in Apatani are never short. I once asked someone about homestays in Ziro, and he ended up explaining how his ancestors negotiated with spirits for fertile fields. By the time I got my answer, the sun was setting, and I had somehow agreed to join a fishing expedition the next morning.

Food is an art form here — pike pila (bamboo shoots with pork), tapyo (fermented fish), and, of course, apong (yes, another rice beer; it’s a theme in the Northeast). But the Dree Festival is where the Apatani spirit shines — community feasts, folk songs, rice wine, and dancing till you forget which language you came here speaking.

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other. We do translations, voice overs, subtitles, all that. Sometimes it feels like we’re everywhere—legal docs one day, video game dialogues the next, and then suddenly some corporate brochure that has to sound “professional but not robotic.”

I think what makes Enuncia Global different (and I don’t want to sound like a cliché company profile here, but still) is that it’s not only about throwing words from one language to another. We actually care about tone, style, culture… because honestly, what’s the point of translating if you lose the feel of it? Like, imagine a joke translated literally—it just dies, right? We try to keep that soul alive.

We’ve got a team that’s oddly diverse. Some are language nerds, some are techies who enjoy making websites and SEO stuff work, and then there are project managers who somehow manage to keep everyone from losing their minds. Not easy.

At the end of the day, it’s about trust. Clients give us sensitive stuff—sometimes personal, sometimes business secrets—and we deliver, quietly, without fuss. Maybe that’s why people stick with us. Anyway, that’s Enuncia Global in short.
