Amharic is like a riddle wrapped in curls. The script — Fidel — looks beautiful but terrifying. Every consonant-vowel combination has a slightly different shape. First week, you’ll feel like your eyes are betraying you. But somehow, your brain starts recognizing patterns — or you fake it until locals stop laughing.
Addis Ababa Amharic is fast, clipped, full of contractions. Rural Amharic stretches syllables and adds little filler words. Example:
"Dehna neh, betam?"

Slang is everywhere. Youth mix English casually:
"Coffee bet? Baalshi, after class"
(“Want coffee? Sure, after class”)
Grammar is complex but forgiving in conversation. Verb endings, gender, and tenses exist formally, but people drop endings, shorten words, and mash things together naturally. You mispronounce a consonant? Locals might laugh, exaggerate it, then repeat the word slowly until you get it — or not.
Cultural tip: Ethiopians love to argue, joke, and exaggerate. Sit in a café or ride the minibus, and you’ll hear debates about politics, soccer, and who has the best injera. By the end, you’ll know swear words, casual phrases, and polite forms — all in one chaotic sitting.

Enuncia Global is… well, I guess the simplest way to put it is we’re in the business of languages. Not just translation in the boring dictionary sense, but kind of making communication smoother between people who otherwise would stare blankly at each other.
